What exactly does a doula do?

+

A doula is trained, non-medical support before, during, and after birth. I offer information, comfort measures, emotional support, and practical help — alongside your medical team, never in place of them.

When should I book?

+

Most families book their birth doula between 20 and 30 weeks, but I welcome later bookings too if I’m available. Postpartum support can be arranged at any point — before baby arrives, or even weeks in.

Do you serve my area?

+

I’m based in Milton, Ontario and serve families across Halton Region and the Greater Toronto Area, including Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Brampton, Georgetown, Acton, Toronto, and the wider GTA.

Are consultations really free?

+

Yes — every consultation is complimentary and no-pressure. It’s a chance to meet, share what you’re hoping for, and see if we feel like the right fit.

Can we work together if I’m planning a home birth?

+

Absolutely. I support hospital births, home births, and birth-centre births. My role is to support your choices, wherever you plan to give birth.

Is Mamta Collective a team of doulas?

+

Right now, Mamta Collective is founded and operated by me, Hannah. It’s a growing practice, and I plan to welcome additional birth and postpartum doulas in the future — each one carefully chosen to share the same warm, evidence-informed approach.
